Cruise control improves driver comfort, especially when going long distances. - You can comfortably take long road trips, or drive distances over 30 mph without putting strain on your legs through having to hold your foot in a set position for extended periods to manually control the accelerator pedal and speed. With cruise control activated, you can sit back, relax your right leg, and steer your vehicle. When you need to slow down or stop, simply tap the brakes to deactivate.
Fleet Comms can supply and fit speed limiters, RPM Limiters, Reverse Limiters to vans and commercial vehicles to ensure speed safety measures are being obeyed. Allowing fleet drivers to remain within speed limits without having to check your speedometer.
A speed limiter frees drivers from the need to constantly check the speedometer by maintaining a pre-set speed, leaving drivers free to focus their attention to the road. Ensuring that your fleet maintain a safe speed and reduces the risk that a momentary lack of concentration could lead to a speeding charge or potential accident.
The rear blind spot is a huge problem with any fleet vehicle. The size of commercial vehicles and machines mean vehicle blind spots are a major factor in collisions across all industries. Reversing camera are designed to assist drivers to warn them of anyone or anything in the vehicle’s path.
Brigade’s camera monitor systems enable drivers and operators to manoeuvre and drive safely. Vehicle-mounted CCTV cameras can help the driver to see blind spots and offer a reversing aid by delivering a live feed on the monitor of everything in the camera view, including people or obstacles.
The rear blind spot is a huge problem with any fleet vehicle, with reversing vehicles now accounting for a quarter of all workplace deaths. Reversing alarms are devices to warn anyone in a vehicle’s path that it is moving backwards.
bbs-tek® multi-frequency reversing alarms use a wide range of white noise frequencies. This enables the listener to instantly locate where and what direction the sound is coming from. bbs-tek® White Sound® reverse alarms create a “ssh-ssh” sound which is gentle on the ear and dissipates quickly, meaning the alarm can only be heard in the danger zone.
Most vehicles taken without keys are stolen using devices which plug into the OBD port. These intelligent devices hack the brain of the vehicle and are able to bypass the vehicles integrated security protocols.
Most of these devices are pre-programmed so that when they plug into a vehicle, the alarm is turned off during the hacking process. Once hacked these devices usually then program a new key or trick the vehicle into thinking the key is already present. In many instances this process can take less than 30 seconds before the thief can drive the vehicle away.
OBD Protection is a piece of innovative hardware which permanently integrates into the vehicle without the need to cut into the wiring and designed specifically to protect a vehicles OBD port. It works by stopping the information travelling to the OBD port and therefore prevents a thief from accessing it, effectively closing the OBD port whilst the Protector is armed.

Another brilliant product from Autokontrol, leading the way in Speed Control Systems.
The Geo-Fenced Speed Limiter. (Geokontrol)
Low speed limits are becoming very common in areas designated as “High risk” often because vehicles are in close proximity to pedestrians and speeding vehicles are considered to be a major contributor to accidents.
Town centres, Airports, Seaports, Bus stations and Distribution centres are prime examples and in a time when “Duty of Care” and Health and Safety are top of most companies agendas, the Geo-Fenced limiter provides the answer.
The system works by pre loading the unit with Geo-Fence data which can be refined to cover any area as small or as large as you require.
As an example a vehicle visiting an airport with the perimeter plotted in the Geo unit, will automatically reduce the vehicle to the required speed as soon as it passes through the entrance gates and on exiting reverts back to the normal speed.
The example opposite shows an area that has been “zoned”, once the vehicle enters this area its speed will automatically reduce to a lower programmed speed.
