Accident Dash Cameras

Vehicles are often the most expensive asset an individual or business will own or operate. CCTV systems can record live vital information in and around your fleet. We can install cameras designed for the front, rear, and sides of a vehicle, potentially giving you a car CCTV system that provides a near 360-degree view of what's going on around you.

Cameras are ideal for a wide range of vehicles and situations, including heavy goods and fleet vehicles, emergency vehicles and taxis. To ensure the highest reliability rate in the industry, all of our suppliers including Smart Witness, Brigade and Thinkware systems are chosen very carefully and our manufacturing/QC standards are strict.

“We needed a company that can provide a quick professional service when we need it and that’s exactly what we get from Fleet Comms. They always go that extra mile and always find the best option for each vehicle in our fleet.”
Steve Brook - Fleet Manager

All vehicles have blind spots, and when manoeuvring, these blind spots present a significant danger to anything or anyone in the vehicle’s path and inhibit the driver’s ability to operate the vehicle safely.

The comprehensive view of the surroundings aids the driver when manoeuvring at low speed and minimises damage, as drivers of larger vehicles can see and avoid objects on the ground.

  • Eliminates blind spots, improves safety
  • Comprehensive view of the surrounding area in a single image
  • Reduces collisions with people and objects

Camera Monitor Systems

Vehicle cameras allow multiple camera images to be viewed on a single monitor with dedicated views triggered by, for example, reverse gear. Cameras provide a wider angle of view than mirrors and are less likely to be damaged, whilst built-in LED’s offer superior visibility in low light conditions.

Our range of safety systems meet a host of health and safety and legislative requirements including R46.

  • Prevents costly reversing collisions with people, property or vehicles
  • Removes blind spots and meets class VI & V blind-spot requirements
  • Reduces vehicle damage to the rear, side and front
  • Assists safe and easier manoeuvring
  • Provide irrefutable evidence in the case of accidents and legal proceedings
  • Meets health and Safety requirements
  • Peace of mind for drivers, passengers and operator

Mobile Digital Recording

Mobile Digital Recording

At Fleet Comms we can help companies and fleet overcome various problems and tackle issues that occur in many day to day situations with the installation of vehicle CCTV systems. We provide and install industry leading mobile digital video recorders (MDVR) units that record onto internal hard drives or SD cards, providing an accurate witness and gives irrefutable evidence in the case of an incident.

  • Proof against insurance claims such as ‘crash-for-cash’ scams
  • Recording provides protection for drivers who may be wrongly accused
  • Provides irrefutable evidence in the case of accidents and legal proceedings
  • Encourages driver best practice, so less vehicle damage and accidents
  • Vandalism deterrent
  • Peace of mind for passengers and drivers

Reversing and Warning Alarms

The rear blind spot is a huge problem with any fleet vehicle, with reversing vehicles now accounting for a quarter of all workplace deaths. Reversing alarms are devices to warn anyone in a vehicle’s path that it is moving backwards.

  • Ideal for varying environments
  • Continually adjust to 5-10 decibels above ambient noise level
  • Clear spoken message
  • Night-time cut out or night control

Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection

Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection

Ultrasonic proximity sensors minimise both vehicle damage and collisions with pedestrians, cyclists or objects. Perfect for road-going commercial vehicles operating in confined spaces or manoeuvring at low speed. Reducing blind spots and improving driver visibility are important issues for operators of road-going vehicles.

  • Gives peace of mind to the driver
  • Greater protection to pedestrians, cyclists and workers
  • System can be activated below designated speed and/or turn indicator
  • Minimises damage to vehicle, property and other objects
  • Can be fitted to articulated vehicles with additional coiled cables

Radar Obstacle Detection

Radar sensor systems detect stationary and moving people and objects in blind spots, significantly reducing accidents. The sensors provide the driver with in-cab visual and audible warnings alerting them on all danger areas. Radar obstacle detection sensors work effectively in harsh environments and in poor visibility including darkness and fog.

  • Connection to vehicle CAN via CAN gateway
  • Maximum Detection area for each sensor is 30m Depth x 10m Width.
  • Detected objects are buffered and filtered to remove false alerts.
  • Separate CAN message & ID for each object detected (up to 8 object messages per sensor)
